I should know this tree.....

I really should know what this tree is. Medium size, there are several around this parking lot in Summerville, all about 18 feet tall or so. Mottled gray-ish bark.
Is it some Ilex variety? ...or something else?
Would appreciate if anyone can I.D.
Thanks,
Deb

Edited to add that the leaves in the photo are about 4" long.

Foster Holly? Evergreen, shape of leaves, and red berries this time of year, I agree it is some Ilex variety. I have the Nellie Stevens hollies and they have very dark green leaves. Hope you get a positive ID.

See if these photos look like the trees you've seen: Ilex x attenuata 'Fosteri' close-up of foliage: http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/showimage/36005/. A limbed up Foster holly is here: http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/showimage/36003/.

BSD & Fleurs,
Thanks! It could be that one. The leaves are very similar. I'm going to have to go back and have a closer look at the bark and other details. When I took the photo, I was just thinking of how pretty it was with the moss, etc. Didn't think til later about what it was. :)

Fleurs abd BSD, I think you guys were right, that it's attenuata. Someone suggested Savannah as opposed to Fosteri. They are very similar, but judging by photos, and a second look I took at my mystery tree, I think it is I. attenuata "Savannah".

Success! Thanks so much for your help!

Not to change the subject of the thread--but is this a Foster's Holly? Got several as freebies--I know they are a common landscape holly, as they came from a nursery. Red berries part of the year, and a definite trunk. I thought Foster's had limbs to the ground? Am I wrong?
