NewBie from Southern California "Hello All!"

First of all I want to say WOW!- This is an awesome website!!
I've just moved from an apartment to a house with a yard (yay!),
and can't wait to get dirty!
My potted friends finally get a real home!

Welcome larrisb to DG. I was just lurking around some threads, I've been involved in so many things since I became a member almost a year ago. Introduced to many plants I never heard of, and even discovered some great garden art from Trash to Treasure forum. This year I am going to try my hand at germinating my own seeds, just wish I had discovered all of this years ago.

It is so nice to finally see some more So. Calif. people joining this wonderful site. I've been a member here since the beginning and as Pegi mentioned above, have learned so much and found plants that I didn't know existed.

We have a nice group of So. Calif. people and we love to help where we can. We also have a small gathering a few times a year and exchange plants, seeds and friendship. We are having one next month near Oceanside and if you want to meet some new garden friends, your welcome to come.

Sami, I hope you will consider join us some time also.

Please go to the Calif. forum and let many of us welcome you over there too. Sometimes people don't check out the Welcome Mat forum too much.

Welcome, Lar. Also check out the PNW forum. I go there a lot even though I live in NJ. Sounds like you will meet some fine folks in person, pretty soon
