I still have to take photography lessons. But I have another question, what does it mean when describing an av it says sticktite?

Very pretty, Melanie!

Here is something I "borrowed" from Plantfiles . . . plantcrazii had posted this under the Blue Lace AV posting:

Quoting:

This African Violet has a sticktite bloom which means it will bloom a lot longer. Sticktite is a modern hybrid African Violet with non-dropping blossoms.

If you go to the AVSA site, you will see where they offer a disc with about 15,000 registered african violets. If you belong to AVSA you can buy for about 25.00 a disc that you update four times a year........with new registrations. To update it year after year, you just pay 11.00 I think..........

AH that's where I've seen it. I'm a member for several years. TY

Congratulations on your bloom! It is really beautiful...there's nothing like those first blooms. Did you buy the plant or start it from leaf? It's a nice one :)

Ahhhh hot tea. If you like good tea, go to these sites: specialteas.com, culinaryteas.com, and artoftea.com. I am definitely NOT a Lipton tea person. I drink only black tea =3 min 30 sec, or rooibos tea=4 min. BOILING water.

I had av Feather. I loved the bloom, but it only lasted a couple days and then it fell off;...which would be great if you are wanting to dry the blooms for crafts. That is the opposite of sticktite. tish
