Help my laptop speak to my printer

Calling all geeks: I have a spiffy new HP laptop with the much loathed Windows Vista. I can't blame Vista for anything yet, because I live in blissful ignorance of all things electronic and everything seems to function well for my simple computing needs.

I would really like to get the laptop set up to print wirelessly. Can this be done? How? I'm using Linksys very successfully ( set it up myself, I did!) and have a working HP printer hooked up to the old PC.

I'd be most obliged if someone could tutor me through this set up, or even tell me if printing can be done wirelessly.
