Silkiechick, if you're around.. I'm wondering if it's common for Serama's to have feathered legs? This is Dot.. it was a tiny tiny baby.

OMG, those r gorgous little babies zz!!! love ur cochins, that first one just awe's me excellent foot feathers. never seen that so much on a chick that young, love to see pics of them as they grow. i have eggs and a breeding pair of bantam cochins comeing from 2 seperate breeders to put in w/ my frizzled ones so i'm excited for both of us!!! r ur's standard or bantam size?

dot is so adorable, love her too! seramas r not supost to be feather footed i see there is a few what i call scragglers there but she is still considered clean legged. i've never seen it on a serama but it is possible with any clean legged breeds to see that now and then it's actually pretty common. i've seen it on usually polish but a few other breeds too when i work at a show here. sometimes they loose that as they get older and sometimes they don't. i'd either pluck em when she is older or not worry about it cuz it looks very little to me what she has there. i do not know if it will carry onto her offspring i've never mated any polish who had it to see.

Thank you Sewin! I like Snowshoe too.. he tries to get out all the time.. I should slide him across the floor to sweep up his shavings! LOL

They are Mottled Bantams.. and I kinda thought they were pretty nice.. The blue was so beautiful when it hatched.. big too. For a banty, it was huge.. I'm hoping it doesn't get too big, and that is just an indication that it's a nice chick.

Thank you Silkiechick! That was a better response than I hoped for!

Hey there ZZ's : Sewin circle took the words right out of my mouth. I swear that first bird however beautiful looks half eagle, just look at the turned down beak and those beady eyes. The look of a predator i'd say. Scaaaaarrrrryyyyy. Hay

Lodi, CA(Zone 9b)

Should I get a fingernail file and some mascara? LOL

Hey ZZ's : Better yet I was thinking I'd bet a broom handle for snoshoe and make a broom out of that bird, but, then again he has that "take no prisoner look. On second though I think I'd just like to be friends if it alright with him. LOL Gorgeous bird. Hay

Lodi, CA(Zone 9b)

LOL Hay.. that's funny. I imagine if he was full grown and mean, it would match his look.... He is a chicken..

AAAAAAah ha ha..

pun intended there.. LOL

The only way I would like them better is if they were frizzled.. :) Maby

Wow! I hope some of my new bundles of fluff grow up to be as handsome as yours! They are just wonderful! So clean and typey. Way to go!

Thank you!!!! :) I'm tickled that you all like them so much! I am very critical of my chicks... and I thought these were pretty nice. :)

I invite anyone to critique my chicks.. I can take the bad with the good.. I like to get other's opinions.. not just praise, although I love that..

Well, ZeeZ, you didn't actually lay the eggs, lol. So I guess I can understand. I'd have more trouble accepting critiques on chicks I'd produced from the egg on...

Lodi, CA(Zone 9b)

WHAT? I DIDN'T???

I'm shattered..

Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

I have this sudden image of ZZ, sitting on a big cushion, a little clutch of eggs under her, snarling and biting at anyone who comes near.....

I think she's been doing a bit too much hatching! LOL!

Clarkson, KY

Truly! Now that I think on't, it doesn't sound as far fetched...
