Time to do the dormant spraying. I want to give the nectarines a dose of copper this season. Being lazy, it has occurred to me that I could mix the copper in with the dormant oil.
Is there a reason this would be a Big Mistake?
Mixing dormant oil with other stuff
Thats a standard thing and I do it all the time.

Oh, one thing I should add is I believe it is best to do the dormant spray as close to bud break as you can -- the aphids diseases etc will be starting to wake up and you can zap 'em good. dormant sprays are less effective in deep dormancy. The only exception to this is some stone fruit diseases (shothole, curl) need a fall spray and maybe a midwinter spray if they are bad. These guys seem to slowly migrate into the buds before bud-break. Even if I am doing these I will always do the "delayed dormant" (just before buds) every year.
