Hilarious horticulturalist

Even folks living in Columbia may have missed this morning's paper, but an interview with Felder Rushing is just too funny to miss.

For instance, while he acknowledges all the books written about making compost, Rushing insists we only need to know two things. “Stop throwing stuff away, and pile it up somewhere.”

I believe you can read it here: http://www.thestate.com/home-garden/story/696752.html.

OMG, that guy doesn't realize I pile up everything.
I have 3 house4s full of stuff and just started a compost pile.

Wonderful article about a great guy. Saw him once in Asheville at the NC Arboretum. I had taken my mother there, not realizing that a garden tour was there for the day. Felder was, of course, conducting the tour, but Mother and I kept running into him (almost literally) seemingly around every turn. He was busy with his camera that particular day. He does look remarkably like one of those gardening gnomes or perhaps a faun, maybe some sort of weird mutation of the two! He's a hoot, for sure.
