Kiln Washes

This is the first time for me to use the Kiln Wash, hifire type, and I have a question:

I just washed the bottom of the small kiln, and washed the shelf that goes inside on both sides. Was I supposed to wash both sides of shelf? And, since it is already done on both sides, can I use it that way or should I start over? just waiting for them to dry, next coat is number 7, so I have a few more coats to go.

I also have some thinfire kiln paper that I'll use (just in case) something happens.

Are the posts that support the shelves washed?

Should I wait overnight to use the kiln or is it alright to wait till the wash is dry (how long is that)?

I did order another book but who knows when it will arrive and I'm anxious to do something in here..

This kiln is electric Paragon kiln small for jewelery and I'm going to try to slump a small miniature liquor bottle.
