This time not a false alarm. I was out watering the epis and notice that my Easter Cactus that I just get cuttings of last year has a couple of buds on them. I do not know if they will hold as the plants are small but it is a good sign that flowered time is coming.
Sandy the epi nut
This time I really do have buds
It is going to be beautiful. Can hardly wait.
Wow!, I've got to go check mine now. I hope it gets covered in flowers for you!
Yes would love to see lots of flowers.
That is so cool! My weather is warm enough to put them outside now for a few days. Here's hoping the weather forecasters are really good at what they do. LOL
I hope so too Down here it's already 70 before noon but started off in the low 40's
Oh how nice. It is a red flower with more than one bud, right?. I will be watching and learning.
Yes, but it is a young plant I get the cuttings last year. So I do not know if they will try on the plant.
But I am going down to Bob Smoley's next Tuesday and getting some more Easter Cactus-some will allready be rooted. (Also some Christmas Cactus and some epis of course. Bob says he has some new epis imported for Germany and he will try to get the German Empress I will let y'all know all about my trip with pictures next week. Just hope it does not rain and I get out of the dentist in time)
I like that idea of going to Bob Smoley's. I am so far away. When I look to order something, it is not ever available. The German Empress is one I would love also. Just suggest anything to me and I would love it.
Enjoy your trip.
It is now off again. Something came up and I have to arrange to go another day. But they are rooting a lot of stuff so when I do get down there I can buy them already started.
I talked to him about the German Empress and he will look into it. He is only open by appointment.
