Just a note to say my #1 daughter, Amy and I leave March 6 to go to Rochester, Mn,; Methodist Hospital, where Amy will donate a kidney to a life long friend. He was in contact with Agent Orange while in Vietnam. . But as you all know, the Government will tell us, there wasn't such a thing there. Well, anyway Paul is gonna die if he doesn't get a new kidney soon. Amy has spent the past year going through ALL kinds of tests, and Jan 15, ironically Paul's birthday, Mayo from Rochester called her to say all the tests are a match, and it's a go. They told Amy her part of the surgery will take 6-8 hours, and I suppose Paul's will be much longer. She is a Hospice nurse in Scottsdale, so will have to be off work at least 6 weeks. After we get home, she will do all follow up procedures, at Mayo in Scottsdale. How FORTUNATE we are to have the facility right here. So I;m gonna pack my long johns, snow boots, mittens, 2 coats, (I left my heavy cold weather coat in Iowa, 25 years ago) and pray for all to go as scheduled.
Not sure just when we will return to AZ, so possibly not here for the plant swap and all that wonderful sounding food. If anyone as any extra begoina's of any kind, Rex, angle wing, what ever, I'd like some cuttings. Also I have lost all of my wondering jew that is purple on the under side and green stripped on the upper side. You can put Joanne's name on them, and she will being them home and take care of them for me. Don't know what I'd do without a friend like her!! She's a Jewel!!
Hope to see ya, but not making any promises!!
