It is Ctenanthe oppenheimiana 'Tricolor'.

Stromanthe sanguinea is a much larger plant.

I found the thread about this here: http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/932797/

I guess it was never resolved, as ALL the other images look just like mine. If there is a problem with the ID, why are all the other images still here?
When I googled both plants, most look alike, some of the Ctenanthe oppenheimiana 'Tricolor' looked nothing like mine.
I will send ADMIN a DMail and see what ever became of this issue.

Thanks Sandy, I've been growing the plants for about 12 years; Stromanthe sanguinea gets to be about 6 ft. tall and my 'Tricolor' Ctenanthe always is less than half that size.

I guess the best way to determine which species any plant is, is to run it through a Key and see which species it fits best.
