I bought this afew years ago and was going to trade it at a RU. When I looked in Plantfiles, it had overwelming negative feedback. Does anyone recommend keeping this?
Is there anything nice to say about Donkeytail Spurge?
I have never grown it but it looks pretty.

Josephine.
Is it euphorbia myrsinites? I have grown it in the past, but like most of the non-succulent euphorbias today, they seem to have fallen into the 'lost' category in the nursery trade. Where did you get it?
Negative feedback?...Maybe it is a case of wrong plant, right place or vice versa....the donkey spurge or myrtle spurge comes from arid and rocky environment and can be used much as a sedum. Considering our rain situation, I have begun to look for some of these old/new plants....you can send any non-succulent euphorbia my way!
I'd love to find some of that. It's a shame the nurseries don't carry more variety. It seems that everywhere you look, it's the same old plants in every garden you see. I don't know about you, but I'd keep it.
Crow
banana, Will you be at Arlington RU? I am frantically working to pot things to trade. I would love to have a start of the Donkey Spurge. No need to root. Just a piece and I will take care of the rest.

http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/781/ Yes it is euphorbia myrsinites.Lots of bad press for those who touch it to their face. Ouch!
I got it at Weston Garden about 2 years ago.
I will be at the RU, and I will bring one for you LouC. Maybe I will wear a latex gloves and a paper bag mask for protection before cutting it!
Oh my goodness. Maybe should reconsider as I have a high reaction to poison ivy and the beautiful Australian Fern. Breakout just breathing close to either. Guess I will pass this time even though it is really beautiful. Looking forward to seeing you in Arlington.

I am glad you read about it. Definitely one should know about it's dangers. Do you want anything less toxic?
I'm trying really hard to have trades. Will bring everything that I have ready at that time and will just hope to give to anyone that wants it. These long, accurate lists just put me into orbit. I never know the correct names.
That sounds like a good way to do it. I save my lists so it is a little easier, but can still get crazy with sorting all the plants and hoping not to forget something.
