growing in a basement

Can I grow in a dark basement with lights? I have sodium light and would like to set up a hrdro in the basement. How many hours of light do I need to supply?

hay "gollem" i grow in my basement and garage during winter with shop lights and do just fine give them about 16 hours of light a day should do fine. "whitebear"

regular florescent bulbs just keep them close to the top of the plants. don't buy the expensive grow bulbs, the florescent work just as well. imo "whitebear"
