Good morning all! Another beautiful day out - although it might get a little warm. Dh and a neighbor headed to Husker Harvest Days in Grand Island today. Our bank charters a bus. I call it a major "dream and drool" day for farmers. It is billed as one of the largest farm shows in the nation. People can watch equipment while it is harvesting, demos from seed companies, etc. Dh usually comes home with a big bag of freebies. DD also went. She is supposed to write a paper on how the different companies market their ag products. I had a meeting this afternoon and decided to stay home and watch the home front.
Dh hauled 10 more fat lambs to the sale barn last night. I'm sure the price isn't much higher - last time we sold, the price was only .49/lb. At least cattle prices were up. I checked the price yesterday so dd would know what to charge for her steer and the price was .70/lb.
MaryE - just love to read about your adventures. Do you keep a journal? I know what you mean about city driving. Omaha is about the biggest that I want to go and I have even goofed and driven into parts that I didn't want to be in at night.
Do any of you have centipedes in your house? They are terrible this year - the worst we have ever had. In the past they have usually been in the basement but last night I left our patio door open and I found at least 50 right by that door - ewwww!
Hope you all have a good day!
