Hello...this is a leaf off one of two seedlings I have of the cross Ludgers Windsong x Tiara x Susanne...the tag is faded so I can't seed who made the cross : (. One plant is fine but the other gets leaves like this??? Can someone tell me what the problem is....can it be fixed? I have sprayed them and treated with neem even tho I could not see mites with my loupe.
Twisted leaves....
Of course first thought that comes to most peoples minds when they see crinkly leaves like that is mites (spider or broad mites). Have you looked under your leaves under a magnifying glass in bright light yet? Next thought that comes to mind is chemical spraying. I have seen this sometimes when a heavy coat of insecticide stays on the leaves too long or is on the leaves in bright sunshine. The other thing to check of course is the soil PH. When PH is out of range all sorts of things can happen to your leaves.
Hope you can figure this one out. Good Luck!
BTW- That sounds like a Brenda Delph cross possibly
Mine have had that same malady.. I found spraying them with the Mix and then not letting the fan blow and or follow up mist with clear water was the culprit.. also, when they get hungry they weird out.. I have five of BDelphs crosses and I am babying them very closley.. watch out for over watering too.. hope this helps..
Thanks Gary and Debra! The PH could be off.... been in the same little pot since summer...just waiting to put them in the ground come spring. I have been spraying the recipe all winter never once did I follow with clear water. I have just began feeding weak fert. also. Thanks again I learn so much when I ask a ?
Gary I do believe it is a B Delph cross! I have some of your crosses going to : )
Kim
Kim, you need to give the plant a chance to absorb the nutrients in the Recipe. Otherwise, you are just washing them off
I ofcourse agree.. I did not mean for her to wash off the MIX.. only the chemicals if she has sprayed.. sorry if any misunderstandings..
No worries.... I understand now. I should have washed my plants off after spraying.A brug I ordered came with bugs so I sprayed everyone with fruit and nut spray by greenlight maybe it was to strong. Thanks Betty and Debra!
well, I found an outbreak of ugh aphids! eating my bignonia and three of my newer brugs! I squished what I could see, then I took the brugs up and rinsed them in warm soapy water, dipped the rootballs in the mix with some three in one, did the same with the bignonia, and now they are all 4 quarrantined until further notice LOL
