I have never seen a billbergia that has main flower brachts in any colors other than pink or red, until today. I found this one at a local family owned market that also sells some broms and orchids from local growers. It has a salmony-orange inflo. It was not labeled with a cultivar name.
Any ideas on the name? The leaves are thin, leggy, mainly green with what might be some small while inclusions, have no idea if it would gain any color or markings in high light...probably not one of the show stopping foliage broms...but the orange inflo is something I have never seen before
Billbergia with an ORANGE bloom....
Hi Goth, no idea from me, but there are soooo many Billies! Nice score anyway.
