Anyone have to trap mice with pets around?

I am worried about anything chemical harming the dogs. I am having no luck with the snap traps.

The pest control people I called use those glue things, which are not an option for me, not to mention that I don't want to have to pull one off of my dog.

Advice? Thanks.
