Everyone thank you so much for your kind Birthday wishes. I'm terribly embarassed that I didn't know of your thoughtful postings until Gardenpom just told me. My mother would have pinched my ears for having been late in responding but I just never thought to look here.
Yes, I'm officially 52 and as I've told people, I never thought I'd make it to 42 let live a decade longer. You know, life in the fast lane can make things quite uncertain.
I had a nice quiet Birthday but got a tummy bug the next day and felt a little under the weather for a while. I was searching the back of my mind hoping I hadn't eaten any peanut butter!! But I hadn't. Just one of those things.
Again, please accept my apologies for being so late as it was just my ignorance in not looking here. Pelle, you gave me the best of almost all Birthday wishes by alerting me to the Cornell site to listen to the bird calls/sounds. My vision might be pretty bad but I have the hearing of a bat and once I hear a bird sound and call, I'll recognize it as in telling the differerence between a whipporwill(sp?) and a chuck-will's-widow. This Summer, I'll know on those nights which one I'm listening to. As with the screech owl. Now that I've heard the sound via Cornell, I'll know which is which. I've heard the screech owl before but for some reason, I thought it was one of the larger owls.
Again, thank you all for your kind thoughts and wishes. Lee
