my order for tried and true hibiscus

Lindenhurst, NY

I placed these on order a few weeks ago:

Nitty gritty
Midnight Serenade
Zoey
June's dragon
Voodoo queen
Witches dance

Anyone grow these? I love them all. This will be my first year growing tropical hibiscus:-)

Nederland, TX(Zone 9a)

Hi Maureen,

Voodoo queen is a great bush but be sure to pinch it back to promote more branching while its young. Randy usually sends out well branched babies so it should not be a problem here. If not it can and will become leggy but still puts out beautiful blooms. It is a fast grower and can get out of control and very tall. Just work with it and the more branches you have the more blooms you will get.

We went to see their hibiscus at Christmas and walked out with 12 plants, they are really nice people and sell really nice hibs ,we have some on order also, we have nitty gritty and it has been non stop blooms since we brought it home.

Hi Maureen,

I agree with Robert about the Voodoo Queen. She really blooms a lot. Her blooms also change color from a peach in the morning, to a yellow in the afternoon, both of which are very different and pretty.

I grow Zoey as well and also a great choice. The floweres are minis, and look like those little peppermint candies they always give out at restaurants :) Super cute in white and pink.

I see that you're going to have to join the "Hibiscus Addicts Anonymous" club, lol ;-)
