Hello everyone,
I am new and am looking for vegetarian recipes as both my son and I are diabetic and have high cholesterol. We love soups and veggie stews. But, as an extra toughie, he is Jewish and can't eat non-Kosher meats, and meat broths. We also live in a town with no Kosher grocery store and mail order is very expensive for someone living on Social Security thus the vegetarian meals using veggie broths. We recently found a new option bacon salt and Baconaise, a mayo like dressing. And before you get too excited, it's certified by a Rabbi as being Kosher. It's veggie and somehow tastes just like bacon!! The salt is flavored bacon: example-Smoked, Natural, Jalapeno, Cheddar. It sure helps the taste of things and the salts are low sodium! So please help a senior citizen with some of your good homemade veggie recipes. We are having Mardi Gras now; so Laissez Les Bons Temps Rouler! Let the Good Times Roll!
