If you want her to stop being broody you can remove her from the nesting box and put her in a wire bottom cage that is not so comfy. Dont give hay or anything. It may break her desire to sit if its not so comfortable. I have three broody girls. They will not lay either. I even let one sit and hatch eggs for me. STILL broody. Luvs, I would send you one of mine but you live a ways away. hehehe They are rediculous!!!! I dont have a wire bottome cage for all of them so it will happen one at a time!!! Best of luck Elle!! And WELCOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You can put her in a wire cage inside the coop with food and water if its too cold. Even use heat lamp if need be. I would think a week or so should cause her body to snap out of the broody. Some are just stubborn. I hope that is not the case for either of us!!! :D
I am thinking of blocking off the nesting boxes after all the girls have laid for the day. So broody girls cant sit all day. Its another alternative. I just dont want the others to lay outside the nesting boxes. Thats why the wire cage is a better idea. Good luck.
