White breasted nuthatches

Calgary, Alberta, Canada

They are not as common in my garden as the Red breasted ones but just as much fun to watch.

We have a couple here at our home and they sure love the peanuts!

You're fortunate to have the two species.

Really! I love the Nuthatches!

How neat that you have both!

I have had Nuthatches for a few years. Late last summer/ early fall? the nextdoor neighbor had 2 smallish very dead dogwood trees removed. i don't see Nuthatches anymore. Were they probably nesting in those trees? I have 3 acres of woods.with both deciduous and p[ine. I would think there would be room for new nests even if they did lose the previous ones.
I do miss their cute call.

South Hamilton, MA

They appear in all our oak & beech trees so they should still be there. They will come to a feeder with black oil sunflower seed.

Ahhh....I
've not filled my feeders till this past week as I have had surgeries on bothe knees over the past 2 1/2 mos and knew I wouldn't be able to fill them till I could walk again. Hopefully they will be back as soon as they get the word. The Red Bellied WP has only just returned yesterday. to rap on his favorite feeder.

Thanks for the hope!
