Claire - this is what you need next...

Vancouver, WA(Zone 8a)

Hi,

I thought you guys might get a kick out of seeing what we went to visit today.

My FIL is the grounds keeper for an elderly man with about 100 acres in the neighboring town.
He used to keep alpacas, but changed to keeping miniature donkeys this last year.

One just had a baby on Thursday. Her name is Mandy and we went to visit her today....

Mama wasn't too sure about my dog, Charlie.

Might work. LOL

Hey there Lazy, thanks for being in the pic. Only when I had something to contrast to could I realize how truly small she is. Talk about adorable, about 18-20 inches high or knee high, it appears. Bet they are really expensive??? Huh. Haystack.

Yah, mama stands probably as high as my waist (I'm 5' 10").

I have no idea how much they are. I do know that the guy my FIL works for is pretty well off and he only has 3 (4 with the baby). I was amazed at how friendly they were. Mama didn't mind us checking out the baby at all... she only got a bit irritated with my dog, which I don't blame.

Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

Oh my goodness! You are so right! They are completely adorable! I just want to give them big hugs! Thanks for these pictures, how sweeet! As for needing one....wow, that would make 3 donkeys! We have Willow and Springfield, and they are relatively small, although not as small as those.

Here's Springfield with Kelly.

Here is Willow with Springfield. He's her son. He's gelded.

The only other animals I know of that we are getting are in March.
We are getting two French angora rabbits (caramel colour) and a Jacob sheep lamb.

I had completely forgotten about Willow and Springfield!

And here I thought that it was a completely new and original addition to your growing farm. :-)

They really are adorable... just another thing I'm going to NEED when I do finally get that property I've been dreaming about... ;-)

Cedar Springs, MI(Zone 5b)

I had some standard donkies in the past.
LOVED them!
Such sweet animals.
I miss them.
Yours are adorable!
