Dynamite Plant Food

Crestview, FL

I've been reading up how this has micronutrients and other good stuff in it, is it ok to use some of this in self watering containers with veggies in them or is this just for flowers?

You must be reading my mind as I love Dynamite and use on all my flowering plants and even dwarf trees. They have one type in the green plastic bottle that says that it is slow release for nine months. As much as I like it I don't think a slow release would be advisable for an EB but I've never tried it. If you wish Joy why not try it in perhaps two or three of your HEBs just like you would the 10-10-10 or whatever you use? Just mark the m or label the unit so you have a control. You certainly have enough HEBs to experiment with so try it using the standard two cups plus a cup of lime. Who knows? You maybe on to something?

I would give anything is Dynamite were available in my area....sigh.....Gosh darnit I had when DG'rs tell me about a wonderful product and it's unavailable here!!!!! Before I learned about Coir, Jungle Growth is unavailable here as are many or the fertilizers DG'rs recommend.

Dark moon -- Do you have a Home Depot or Lowes near you?

Paw,
Isn't the fertilizer we use int the EBs slow release? I would think the Dymamite would act just the same....problem I've been hearing is that if it's water soluble, the EB vegetation might not be able to pull the nutrients up from the reservoir, and that's a major consideration....

No! 10-10-10 is not a slow release but it doesn't release all its nutrients at once. Dynamite might not release fast enough? Don't know!

Ted Home Depot or Lowe's both are very close to me, but they don't carry Dynamite here...I would have to mail order it to use it.

It is not necessary. Stay with 10-10-10. In my neighborhood only Home Depot carries Dynamite plant food.

TPlant: I think I will try that like you said. I'm into experimenting big time this Spring. LOL
