I would like to start my first herb garden this year with a few different mints. I dont have a nursery in the town I live in so I am limited on where I can get plants.
Does anyone know of an online site that is reliable for seeds and plants?
Thanks in advance
Online place to buy herbs
MULBERRY CREEK HERB FARM IS AN EXCELENT PLACE FOR PLANTS
RICHTER HERBS IS ONE OF THE BEST FOR SEEDS
BOTH ARE ON THE INTERNET
I get most all of my herbs from www.rosesandherbs.com. I have always gotten the healthiest plants from them, and the selection is great :)
They are located in Eustis, FL

Companion Plants in Ohio is also a great source of herbs. Horizon Herbs in Oregon. Crimson Sage in Oregon. For seeds, Thyme Garden in Oregon is also great. Well-Sweep in NJ is good for plants too.
Richters herbs rocks- its the best- they have an excellent selection and are very quick to fill orders
The three places that I order herb seeds and plants from are Horizon Herbs - AMAZING selection of medicinal herbs as well as some outrageously great customer service, Richters Herbs - plants are great, seed is passable, and Garden Medicinals - only place I can get some stuff. I've been a loyal customer to these three places since I started my herb growing and can really only give good reviews for any of them. I hope this helps you. Happy gardening!
Baker Creek in MO is a great place for Herbal plants and seeds.
I've rec'd herb plants and seeds from many of these suppliers. For seed, both Richters and Horizon Herbs have the largest selection, IMO, although I find Horizon Herbs has slightly better seed viability, and the most exotic offerings. Browsing there is an educational experience; as they have offerings from many different countries, from the Far East, Africa, South America, etc., their selection of medicinal herbs is unrivalled. I think Baker Creek gives you the most seed per pkg.; they're very generous. I find that Crimson Sage nursury delivers healthier plants, compared to Richter's Herbs, and slightly healthier plants than horizon herbs, but that is due to less time spent by the plants in transit. Richter's is in Canada, you see, and Crimson Sage is located in California, the same state I'm in, so the herbs aren't all dried out or yellow or wilted from time spent in transit, when they arrive. Crimson Sage's plants as well as their shipping are somewhat costly, but I wouldn't say unreasonably so. If Crimson Sage doesn't have what I'm looking for in live plants I try Horizon Herbs and then Richters Herbs, choosing the closest nursuries first. I cannot comment on live plants from central, southern, midwestern or eastern nursuries, as I try not to order plants from that far away, with one exception. I have ordered live plants from one eastern nursury, that has the best plant packaging I have ever encountered, and that is Logees nursury. I would heartily recommend them from coast to coast, but unfortunately, their selection of herbs isn't that extensive. I generally purchase ornamentals and exotic plants from them like coffee trees, or exotic tropicals, from Logees, and I get zero percent mortality from their shipments.
Crimson Sage might be the way to go since I live in AZ... I will check them out.
Mountain Valley Growers is in Squaw Valley Ca, so shipping won't be so bad. I always loved their stuff and ordered from them all the time when I lived in California.
