Velvet Rose

Fort Lauderdale, FL(Zone 10b)

This is on my list of top 10 brugs to own. It's a 2004 introduction by JT Sessions of Country Gardens Nursery.
The cross is Pink Beauty x Ecuador Pink. Fragrant dark pink blooms come in huge flushes. Easy to grow, easy to hybrize and a true beauty. This one one of those brugs that will soon become a classic. Definitely one to own if you like the dark pinks.

This is a great looking brug. The color is awesome. Congrats on having so many nice blooms that help to keep us northerners from going bloomin' crazy this winter.

Thanks for posting about Velvet Rose. I just added this variety to my collection this year, and it appears I made a good choice!

What a difference location makes. Gary, your Velvet Rose has such a gorgeous dark color. Mine never developed that dark color. The color remained a pale pink and I finally threw it out. I'll just enjoy yours.

Coushatta, LA
