I love this one, Kell. You do have an eye for the gorgeous plants out there in the world. Don't make me start wanting something else! LOL!

Hi Clare!!!
I was just thinking of you the other day and meaning to email you to see how you were. Are you loving your new house? I am so envious of your new great yard!

Ventura, United States(Zone 10b)

Hi Kell! Ah, thanks for thinking of me. Yes, loving the new house and starting to think about how it will ultimately be landscaped. There are brugmansias, plumerias, palms, magnolias, lilacs, and so much more in pots waiting to be planted. We're going for a very tropical looking landscape with lots of cannas and things, but I love the variegated stuff so I'll be getting some more of that. I'm going to have to make a trip to a nursery soon -- something I've avoided doing in the past due to lack of room, but I need underplantings, I think. Here's some recent pictures of the outside of the house: http://s95.photobucket.com/albums/l153/Clare_CA/New%20House%20In%20Progress%20Pictures/ I've got my work cut out for me for sure. I would love it if you would come visit me this summer! I hope all is well with you, my friend.

Oh Clare, you are going to have such fun doing a garden just the way you want it. You have such a good size there to work with. And so many plants already. It is almost better to have an empty yard so you can plant just what you want! I can't wait to see it finished! I bet it is fantastic. Will you put all your huge plumerias in the ground? How hot does it get where you are?

You are so lucky!

I am good! Maybe I will make it to see you!

Hey Dollface, I'm glad you're doing good. I would love to see you one of these days.

I went to Green Thumb Nursery today in Ventura. Man, they aren't cheap. I got a banana, some Pink Breath of Heaven, Lavender, Flax, a couple of Cordylines, and a few other things -- all one-gallons. I ordered a few Michelias from Cisstus Nursery too. It is fun to plan and plant again!

Yeah, empty is better. I dug up almost everything at my last house, and that was no fun. There is still so much weeding to be done yet though.

Yep, all the plumies will have their toes in the sand.

I do feel blessed. I've waited nearly 20 years to own my own home here in Southern Cal.

I think Camarillo stays fairly mild in the summers -- not much higher than mid-90's, I think.

Hugs:-)

And how does this one do in the bay area Kell? I just got an all green. Nothing on them in California let alone the bay area.
