Do to health issues, I wasn't able to start my winter sowing. Is it too late to start now?
Is it Too Late?
I have read that you can "winter" sow in the spring and summer, so I would say go ahead. I am going to do a few more containers this weekend. You might want to be careful with any that need cold stratification, this late. I'm not sure if you would have enough cold days left this year for that to work without putting them in the fridge first. Admitedly, this is my first year to WS, so I hope some others pipe in with more experience, as well.
I don't know that we've had enough cold weather period this year! LOL We've had a fairly warm winter.
Okay...off to cut containers and get DH drilling holes for me!
Have fun!
Yup! Then I re-injured my back. Just feeling human again. :)
Oh bother, I don't think I could take both at the same time! Every time you cough it's got to be a doozy on your back. I went into such hard coughing spaz I fell to the ground. Dh said he thought of calling an ambulance, but I took a second to point out a pansy I had become eye level with and he figured I was going to live.lol Glad to hear your feeling better :0)
What funk? Sounds like you had the upper respiratory tract bug? I had that around Thanksgiving. Then later I heard people were getting a stomach bug also, but we didn't.
I did have a sinus infection just after Christmas. It never really cleared up, left me with lots of congestion, ringing ears, some dizziness (from a clogged up head), and just feeling icky. Gradually got worse, and finally went back to the doctor. Had a sinus infection, which I get frequently during the winter. But then, I got worse!! Had a fever for a couple of days, coughing, sore throat, and blew my nose non-stop all day!! Never did get flu-like symptoms. I think I had a cold or something on top of the sinus infection. Finished up a 12-day course of Augmentin and was STILL sick! I'm finally better, but I had to totally change my sinus meds that I take regularly.
Well, I was real sick for a full week or more with the URT one, with sinus thrown in. Lost a little weight, ate like a little bird, instead of my usual Thanksgiving pigout. My annual physical happened to be the next week and my cholesterol lab was very good for a change. Too bad I can't do that without being sick as a dog.
