Love it!!

Woodinville, WA(Zone 8b)

What's your favorite? It's hard to pick one, but I do like "Thelma and Louise - a pair of perky hooters". LOL

No. San Diego Co., CA(Zone 10b)

Can't pick one. I like "Boobs in Bloom," "New Life" and "For Those Who Served" -- oh, and "Two Cans" is great, too! They are all artistic and fun.

Union, WA(Zone 8b)

those are neat. I like new life. My neighbor and mother of my daughter's best friend died at 54 from breast cancer and her daughter died at 34, with 2 children. Every women in their family has died of breast cancer. Hope something is soon found to help.

Buckley, WA(Zone 7b)

That was great. It made me laugh out loud.
My grandmother died from breast cancer when she was 65 and had just retired.

Woodinville, WA(Zone 8b)

And the sad part of all the new discoveries in diagnosis and treatment is that they were only a few years away when all these wonderful sisters, mothers and daughters were succumbing to them.

I recently had an evaluation for a breast problem and after what was supposed to have been a biopsy (they called it off), the doc gave me a single rose for , "Putting up with them." They were very tuned in to emotional support.

I like to think that the beautiful women who have gone before have all contributed in her own way not only to new treatments that will save future generations, but just as importantly to creating a new awareness and sensitivity to the emotional trauma surrounding a diagnosis of breast cancer that has also helped the women who have followed them.

Katie, I saw a lady in a store one day and just had to stop and tell her how nice her hair cut was. She said thank you, then told me it had just grown in from chemo treatments for breast cancer. Instead of being embarrassed about it (why should I?) I said she certainly looked in the best of health now, with a lovely smile. She thanked me again and said she likes to tell people how well she is now.

So, if you see someone in similar circs, don't be shy to say how good they look for whatever reason.

Woodinville, WA(Zone 8b)

Isn't that so true? We just don't know what to say in those circumstances so often we don't say anything. It's so great that you complemented her so she had the opportunity to rejoice in her health.

No. San Diego Co., CA(Zone 10b)

It was great for ME, too! I still feel good when I think of her. I was always afraid to say things to strangers in my younger years. A death in the family taught me not to let those moments go by, whether you know the person or not.

Woodinville, WA(Zone 8b)

I'm so with you. I have observed a few people over the years who were brilliant at knowing what the right thing to say to somebody was and when to say it. That's one of the most special gifts or talents.

North Lakewood, WA(Zone 8b)

Kathy those are wonderful!! I passed it on to two of my close friends who have battles BC.

Burwash Weald, United Kingdom(Zone 9b)

katie - thank you for that site, I've just sent it on to my friend. We are doing our second marathon walk this May for breast cancer (we are doing the Moonwalk, round London over night in our bras! Oh Lordy - but at least there is 15,000 of us, so we can tuck in with the rest and not look to, um, mature ) and we have been discussing how to decorate our bras - INSPIRING (although I am going to do my best NOT to infringe anyone's art - but goodness I'd love to wear the melons!)

That was just wonderful!

No. San Diego Co., CA(Zone 10b)

Laurie, you could do Buns! Remember Helen Mirren in Calendar Girls? "I think we are going to need significantly bigger BUNS." My favorite movie line.

Burwash Weald, United Kingdom(Zone 9b)

oh funny!!!!!

Woodinville, WA(Zone 8b)

Laurie - what a hoot(er) of an event!! Will you be taking pictures?

Bend, OR(Zone 5a)

Kathy, thank you for that site, it made me laugh to see all of those ornate bras.
My Aunt, DM's half sister died of breast cancer about 5 yrs ago.
I think my favorite is Hooters.

My fav's are Carolyn's Garden and Buttons, Bows and Boobs! What a great idea!

No. San Diego Co., CA(Zone 10b)

I checked out the web site for the Moon Walk http://www.walkthewalk.org/Challenges/ThePlaytexMoonWalk
Looks like a very positive thing they are doing.

Olympia, WA(Zone 7b)

Absolutely fabulous! Laurie better start decorating! Have you picked a theme yet for your personal "over the shoulder boulder holder?"

Bend, OR(Zone 5a)

Rachel! ROFLMBO!

Burwash Weald, United Kingdom(Zone 9b)

Oh, Rach, boulders? I think I'm in the peashooter range - but I haven't come up with an idea, yet - I think something gardening is a must have. How about a two pea pod? Katie, I'll try and get some photos - but I may be polite and try to avoid the wobbly bits - below bra area!

Kaper, thanks for finding the link - I've been wanting to do the moonwalk for about 4 years now, and this is the first time I have been successful getting a place - its always fully subscribed, and immediately! I like the idea that they describe themselves as a 'funding' charity, rather than research (that is not to put aside research - brillant people) but we also need someone to help support the up and running people and projects, too. that is what walk the walk does. But, I also just like the vib of this group - it is just so go-ahead! My walking partner and I did the Aviva walk 18 mo. ago, and although we loved the challenge and enjoyed walking together, there was something less up-beat about the group. I don't know. Anyway, this one really catches my imagination, and I think that is what keeps you going in the training and the actual night.

Buckley, WA(Zone 7b)

Two peas in a pod! That is great!
Just call me Melons!

Lakeview, OR(Zone 7b)

I like the Rhinestone Cowgirl since I'm a country girl.

No. San Diego Co., CA(Zone 10b)

Peas in a pod is a great idea. You can have vines hanging down for camo. :-)

Laurie, that's the feeling I got about that group just from the photos - very UP. Good to know the photos don't lie.

Olympia, WA(Zone 7b)

You could sew a gardening glove over each boob and sew on artificial flowers for volume! Maybe poke a few small twigs and seed pods in your hair for the "au natural" effect. Sounds like you are going to have a wonderful time!

North Lakewood, WA(Zone 8b)

Long ago I drove school bus. We had a guy that was always making boob remarks (he was obsessed). He was about 35years old or so, I'm guessing. I had a neighbor who wore a size that was huge! I think it was like a FFF cup. I asked her if I could have one of her old bras, she gladly complied. We did a great uncover job of wire wrapping it onto the rear bumper of his truck and tucked it up and under out of sight, lest he notice when leaving that night. Of course we all stood in the window, laughing to the point of peeing of our pants, as he set sail out of the parking lot. Those cups filled up with wind and pointed outward so nicely! He drove a good 20 miles down I-5 wondering why people were laughing and pointing at him. He finally pulled into a gas station where some kind soul pointed out to him that he was sailing a large bra behind his truck. He always said he'd get us back but he never could top that. It still makes me laugh.

Moscow, ID(Zone 5a)

That's funny! Glad I already ate my dinner - I have to clean my monitor quite a bit, lately...

No. San Diego Co., CA(Zone 10b)

Priceless! Much better than suing for sexual harassment!

Burwash Weald, United Kingdom(Zone 9b)

Ohhh, Thistledown, that is wonderful - I've always liked the idea that the best revenge is living better! You just proved it! Just too good, and to actually see him driving off, completely unaware!

Rach! The hair-do is perfect., I just won't brush out the stuff that's usually there! And Lynn, to be thought of as two melons, too nice.

Kalispell, MT(Zone 4b)

great stuff here. quite funny! my favorites have a male perspective. how they feel to my face. LOL

My SIL is on her 8th year of recovery (breast cancer) and doing great. Looking beautiful and acting that way too. She is an inspiration to Karen and myself often. Thank goodness for cancer fighting techniques that have been so successful.

I was kind of "moved" by the big sunflowers and less by the feathers. Now the feathers on "Miss hobby lobby" were next but the pink fuzzy one "Tickled pink" matched the essence of color of the subject. But thoughts of "Where the wild things are" loomed LARGE in my mind. I wondered of the person who lives in that mind set of wild nature. Knowing for sure to stay away from "Brassy and Classy" for such a Gemini would entice with the mink only to repel with the crash of the Brass. Lastly "Fifi & Mimi" certainly add to the pleasure of looking by enhancing the accessories of the model. LOL

Bend, OR(Zone 5a)

Steve, you're a RIOT!!! ROFLMBO!!!
