Ok ya'll was looking at my Carol Wright Gifts catalogue and right on the front page is a picture of a woman picking tomatoes off a tree boasting the tomatoes get as big as grapefruit, yielding 60 lbs of juicy tomatoes that weigh 2 lbs each, you get the planter pots with seeds for 3 trees with a bonus of seeds for three early-hybrid tomato plants. My first thought, hmmm, is Bob and Ted in business here or what? LOL It's supposed to grow to 8 ft high in just 90 days, wonder what they are feeding it? It's tempting (right hand hitting my left hand, no joyce, no don't).

Grow 3 Giant Tomato Trees plus get 3 big early Hybrid tomato
hehe, Joy hit back and get away quickly. Girl you know Carol Wright gifts are never what you think they are.....don't they also usually carry the Amazing Tomato-Potato tree? ROTF!
Karen: Didn't see that tree; but, you know who I was thinking of when I saw the tomato trees right? Ted and Bob. LOL
joy
I didn't have anything to do with that phoney advertising. But if your interested I have a potato tree to sell you? LOL
TPlant: Hey, then where did you get your tomato trees there in those pics you keep showing us? LOL You and Bob both have some healthy looking veggies that I can only dream about getting one day.
joy
I think you will get them this year Joy. You are doing everything right.
Devota: Well, found out yesterday I wasn't, I was leaving the lights on 24 hours a day, not doing that now, my babies are going to sleep at night from now on so they can grow big and strong. LOL Least wise til I have to go away for 4 days, then I'll have no choice but to leave the lights on I suppose. And water them in real good before I go.

No! Go buy a timer! They need the dark to convert form carbon dioxide to oxygen which makes them grow. Growth is more rapid in the evening.
Spend the 4.00 bucks Joy. It will make a big difference.
Devota and TPlant: Relax, got my field hand coming in before he goest to work at 5:00 am and before he goes to bed at night to do it for me and to water my 4 EBs, so everything is fine. LOL He'll be happy with one of the tomato plants for his efforts. He is also trustworthy enough to trust with my house keys also, not too many people around that I do. LOL

Joy -- that is really inconvenient for him when he can install the timer lite for you! If I were he I would pay the four or eight dollars and install the timer so I don't have to bounce back and forth. It's not the fact of me or anyone else "relaxing"? If you ask for advice and we give it especially in this tribual way where money is not the factor, use it as you need it to grow seedlings properly and the way you are talking about growing so many different plants it is no longer a convenience but a necessity.
TPlant: Right now things are ok, I don't want to be messing with timers and all until I get back from south Florida, got too many other things to contend with, and he will be doing more than just turning on and off the lights, my EBs need watered too, and so do many of my plants, my mail needs picked up and I would like to make sure no one has broken into my home while I'm away. Sure, the timer might cost $4, but the sprinkler system for my plants costs what, and the burglar alarm costs what? He lives a mere two blocks from me and passes my house on the way to work and on the way home. I am going to be redoing the house to accomodate my nursery program; but, not this year and not right now, I cannot afford it. I am going to be making a lot of changes with my home in the near future; but, one step at a time here. And he doesn't mind at all, so it is not an inconvenience.
