Hello Everyone,
I have heard from Nancy's ( Cedarnest) daughter and I was at odds as weather to post it here or not as I did not get permission to do so.. BUT I know you all love her as much as I do so after a long weekend of thinking I decided I will post what is going on.... All I ask is if you have Nancy's phone number and her real email is not to call or send her cards in email... But I am sure she would love cards in the snail mail...
As some of you may have known Nancy broke her foot in 3 places several months ago... I had talked to her after that but then I heard nothing for months.. Well after the break in her foot she had a blood clot and then had a stroke... She was in rehab since then and has just come home I believe on Thursday of last week... Her speech is not perfect yet her daughter said and is choppy but she is improving allot everyday... Also she lost the use of her left arm but here to her daughter said it is coming back and she should have a full recovery... Nancy told her daughter that she had to find Susan so I would know what was going on as Nancy and I had grown very close in the past year or so... I thought all type of bad things were going on at Nancy's place and told her so when I would leave message after message on her cell phone...LOL So ladies and gents please send her cards in the snail mail ... I am sure she would love that part.. She is not using her computer yet but her daughter said she is sure she will in the near future.... So I feel after the weekend of thinking I did the right thing in telling all of you... I don't think she would get mad at me for doing so, but I was not told I could... ...
So in case you are reading this Nancy... I love you and get better really soon and you can doooooooooo it....LOL

Glad to hear she should make a full recovery! I know alot of people were wondering about her!
Thanks so much for filling us in. I was praying for her as I too, knew something bad had to have occured for her not be on as long as she was. I tried to find her phone number on the internet , but couldn't find the correct one. I looked up a neighbor and called them and I got a Grandmother who was visiting and only knew that Nancy still lived across the street, nothing more. I will continue my prayers for her as I know we all will and with the power of prayer, she will be back on with us soon. Lou
Oh my..poor Nancy (cedarnest) has been through so much. Thanks for letting us know her condition, Susan, and I will pray for her full recovery and that she will be merrily posting away here very soon.

Thank you all and I too am keeping her in prayer and she will be back to us soon.... I am just so happy to finally hear what had happened to her... It took her daughter a while to find my email address and also since I last talked to Nancy I changed my name here on Daves... I am just happy to know she is going to be OK ... It bothers me when someone just goes poof.. Like where is Brenda? I don't see her post here anymore either? Anyone know why? I may have missed seeing her posts as it is always crazy here but I don't think I have seen Brenda on....
Ok just got in from doctors with MIL... from a 2:00 appointment and I am having a major heat flash....LOLOL

Thank you so much for letting us know about Nancy! Yes, we have all been so concerned. I was wondering if there might have been complications from when she broke her foot and am so sorry to hear about the stroke.

Thank you so much Susan, for letting us know about Nancy. I had not done anything for several months after she had said she broke her foot and I never heard from her again. I am one of those who kept emailing thinking she might answer. (in the last few weeks)
I am just heartbroken about her stroke......she is too young. I will be praying for a full recovery and I am so grateful you let us know what is happening. We are family and I have worried so often about her.
I can't wait to write her tomorrow and put it in the snail mail..........and thanks again to you, Susan for telling us.

I have been to this thread a half dozen times and still don't know what to say. I am so sorry to hear that this has happened to such a sweet generous person. You ar ein my payers Nancy-- come home to us soon.

Nancy was one of the nicest people who has ever joined DG! I am still in shock and can't get over what has happened to her. I called my daughter this morning who is a pediatrician to ask why this happens to people. I won't pass what she told me on because I will get it messed up and not right. But it had to do with immobilization for so long and the circulation in your body gets real sluggish.
I just love Nancy and so did everyone else on DG.
TurthleChi, as you find out information will you share not only here but on a prayer thread so that many people can keep Nancy in their daily prayers? Thank you..........

Susan, thanks so much for letting us know about Nancy (cedarnest). It's such a shame to have that happen to her. She is such a nice and generous person. I had a thought in the back of my head that something else was going on with her, not just a broken foot. I am going to pray for her speedy recovery.
I'm sure she will feel the love and prayers comming her way.
When I went to Susan's house we had tried to call Nancy but had nothing happening than I started on my way home and called Susan I had gotten Goosebumps when she told me that Nancy's Daughter had called I was so happy for Nancy that she is still around you will get Better very soon Nancy cause it s almost time for are swaps Just joking I miss you Nancy get well quick and come back soon we all miss you alot

Well Nancy is doing pretty good as she has the will to recover.. I heard from them today... Nancy if you are reading this I am very sorry I started this post... BUT I will say that no one here would ever pity you or feel sorry for you as we love you any way you are.. So peeps I will keep you posted as I hear more.. Nancy sprites seem up and she sound good in email... Gail if you can copy and paste then please do that and thanks....

We have missed you SO MUCH! Everyone has been worried about you, and it was such a relief when Susan posted that she had heard from your daughter. We want you to know that we are here for you and we are cheering you on as you recover from this ordeal. If you find rehabilitation to be a rocky road, just remember to take it one day at a time. Don't think about yesterday or tomorrow, strive for just today, just baby steps ... embrace what you are able to accomplish just today ... tomorrow will be a new day, with new beginnings.
When you are having a bad day just remember that it's all in HIS time. I know you will be discouraged at times but that's okay, it's normal to feel that way. Just remember that we are all here lifting you up in prayer and we are just an e-mail or phone call away, or if that is not possible ... just a thought away!
You have touched so many of us here on DG with your generous spirit, your knowledge, and your sweet personality. Maybe you can't "see" them, but believe me, there are many smiles coming your way and many, many good wishes for your recovery! ^_^ ^_^ ^_^ ^_^ I hope your daughter can log on to DG and read some of these posts to you, so that you can feel the caring and love going out to you!

Gail, I'm so glad you posted a picture of your beautiful Strep. What's it's name?
I don't have anything blooming right now. My plants have been so neglected the past couple of months with having been gone so much, what few I have left are suffering. But, Spring is coming and new plants are calling! ^_^
This is Shenandoah's Sweet Talk......Nancy always had the first best streps and introduced the rest of us to them.
Oh, what a pretty name for a pretty Strep! Nancy grows so many plants well. I have the worse luck with Strep's but I sure do enjoy seeing the beauties the rest of you grow!
Nancy, when you get better and are able to get back to "playing in the dirt" a little bit (and I know that time will come), you can be sure a few Gessie's or other Houseplants will be coming your way. ^_^
