Powdery Mildew on Salvia

Houston, TX(Zone 9a)

Does anyone know how to eradicate powdery mildew on Salvias? I've sprayed with milk and water solution with a squirt of soap and it didn't do a thing. I then sprayed with Funginex and it still looks like they're going downhill. I have two varieties that aren't affected at all and one that it has nearly wiped out. I'm about to the point of ripping them out so it doesn't spread to other plants.

It could be that they are not getting enough sun, or maybe too much water.
If they are getting enough sun cut then down to the ground and clean the area really well, then hold back on the water.
If not enough sun, cut them to the ground and move them to a sunnier drier area.

Thanks Josephine. I did cut the infected plants back before putting the Funginex on them. The new shoots are still infected. They definitely get enough sun, full exposure all day. I have the sprinkler system running early morning every 3rd day. I guess that could still mean they're too wet. Maybe I need to set the sprinkler start time to later in the morning and only twice a week. I'll give it a try and see if it does any good. I'm stumped on this, but would like to save them.
