This is my cross and its an orangy single. The color is quite an anomaly. Adeline being a pink and KBS being a cream to amber color producing a peachy/orange was not what I expected. It's a nice sized flower with a beautiful shape and form. This is the first time blooming and there are several buds dropping skirts right now. The color is very nice. You can see in one of the pictures my double peach in the background. The color is very similar to that, although double peach is a bit darker right now. It has grown very nicely in the heat of the summer (and blooming just after a nasty cold spell), being grown in full sun. It started out pure white. In fact I didn't think that it would get color at all because the blossom stayed white for 2 days. It was headed for the compost heap until it developed this beautiful color. I didn't get to sniff her last night so I can't tell you fragrance right now. I think this one will be worth holding on to, just to see how she matures.
KBS x Adeline
Lovely, lovely color and form. You'll have to post photos of the flushes as the mother plant matures.
Gave it a sniff tonight....a wonderful, clean citrus fragrance!! Not even a hint of the common baby powder scent....
The cirusy fragrance is a definite plus in my book.
Gary, love the color. It stands out their.
