Well it looks like I am another that has been reading the forums, saying very little and haven't introduced myself.
Im Lynn, live in a suburb of Ann Arbor. Have very little gardening skills but am totally addicted. Ive had a vegetable garden for 7 out of 10 years with pretty good harvest. This year I decided I was not spending money on flowers that would only last 4-5 months at the most so I got into perennials. I am most fortunate that I have 1 1/2 acres to spread out on but find that my aches and pains slow me down and my "visions" are far from what my landscape looks like currently. I have added numerous plants to my flower bed, knowing that next year with more knowledge under my belt, I will be relocating or redesigning. Hubby is not into the flowers but does love his roses. He/we have purchsed 8 (maybe) roses this year, most of which are Mr Lincoln's. With any luck, they will come back next spring! and he will be delighted. 3 children (16-10) that are not at all interested in gardening. 2 dogs that love to run through my flower beds much to my dismay! 2 cats that would love to get out and catch a butterfly or bird. Dirt needs to be worked on, previous owners dealt with water problems by putting a million tons of pea gravel into the ground around the house.
I have spent way too much time reading different posts but have learned and have had some of the best laughs.
You all sound positively wonderful and I look forward to becoming a bit more active.
Thanks
HI
