Question of the day:
Why do people call other people chicken when they are scared to do something? I have pondered this all morning. I have not looked it up yet, I thought the animated answers we would put here would be much more fun.
My observation is, my chickens are anything but "chicken".. they may be dumb or for a better word nieve, but not chicken!
So tell me, who started this silly phrase?

I do not know but I think it is the way they run, "screaming" when something does scare them
I'm thinking along the same lines as wren....even suggest doing something of which they do not approve and the squawking is amazing. Someone who squawks at the very mention would then be "Chickeeenn!!"
