Looking for recipe for Pecan Logs

These used to be made maybe by the Elmer's Candy Company in New Orleans. Anyway, we could always buy them in New Orleans. They were a lot like a pecan Easter egg only in a log form and much larger.

I think the stuff in the center might be called "nougat", and the outer part is just rolled in chopped pecans.
