I just want to give a plug to B & B for their pre-cooled

Cincinnati (Anderson, OH(Zone 6a)

bulbs!

I ordered a bunch of their 'pre-cooled' bulbs for potting up in December. I bought 'Abba' tulips,' jetfire' and 'Rip van Winkle' narcissi, and lots of little crocus from their 'Pre-cooled' collection. In past years I have had so many disappointments with trying to pot up and chilling bulbs on my own, so am I ever happy that I took this 'short cut' B & B offered!

Anyway, I just wanted to 'share' that this try was a success and I encourage anybody who wants a little mid-winter color to try it.

Here's a sample of what they offer (and I see they have a 50% off offer going, I guess) so it may not be too late...

(I know, it's a bad picture, but you can get the idea...) (-:

LOL, well that really was a bad picture!

(Am I ever having trouble with this new (to me) Picasa 3 format!)

Sorry.

At least this one is lightened up.

Good going, tabasco! And what a welcome sight these days! I keep envisioning hungry deer with sad, pitiful faces huddling around your windows, LOL.

this will sound crazy..but when I had my heart attacks back in Feb. 2001, I got lots of flowers...but my favorite was one that had bulbs in that kept popping up and blooming for several weeks... I loved it

Very nice Tab!

LOL, yes, the deer have been browsing relentlessly, but not around my breakfast table, at least! Thanks, Gem.

nanny, I love those bulb baskets, too! They're so fun and long lasting, to boot!

Will these be annuals for you or will you be able to plant inground for future years. Very pretty table.

Oh, just annuals. Bulbs don't survive in my garden due to the voles, moles, squirrels, deer, relentless winter rains, etc.

I've pretty much given up making anything perennial except a few daffodils that are fairly stalwart in the right places.
