I have been looking for the ideal lens to walk around in the woods with and I tried a few before I realized I need to stick to good Nikon lenses. I found an older Nikon 400mm f/5.6 ED lens on eBay and won the auction. It's all manual including the metering so it is a bit more of a challenge but that is what I wanted. I took it out in my back yard to try out this afternoon but no birds! Then they started coming in and I caught this interesting shot.
