Well I Never!!!!!

(Zone 7b)

I was sitting at my desk looking out my back window when all of a sudden a hawk swooped in on my back porch and hit my Pigeon Cage on the porch. Well i never seen anything like that !!!
I had been sitting my new pigeons out on my back porch on my patio table when it gets warm everyday. I know they enjoy the warm sun and the fresh air and i thought they were safe.
Boy these hawks is dangerous and my dog was a sleep on the porch and she ran him off. I can't tell you how many times i have to get the dogs to run down to the pens to run the dang things off. They just seem to love to scare the daylights out of my birds.

Beautiful pigeons, Harmonyplace. We have hawks diving here, too. I was almost hit one day while sitting on the veranda having coffee with my DH. To say we were shocked is a gross understatement! No small dogs in our neighborhood.

Beautiful pigeons Harmony! Glad the hawk didn't get to them!

You need to make another one of your owl things for your porch!!! Did it scare the feathers off your new pigeons? They are still settling in and everything!! They sure are pretty!!! ;)

They are just the greatest things and most pigeons poop real big theirs is small and falls right thru the wire. They don't sling their seeds or blow feathers all over my liveing room either.
They have been kind of getting to know eachother and the male sits in the nest and calls the female and of course she ignores him.
But they make less mess and noise than my diamonds did i sold my diamonds and bought these and never thought they would be this quiet.

Thats great. The perfect pets! ;)
