I can't grow it here, because it doesn't like the heat. It's looking good and good luck with it and keep us posted on its growing process.

Thanks Helen and Elizabeth! I peeled and soaked the seeds overnight with a few drops of peroxide. They popped up in about a week. This seedling is about a months growth. I have been spraying 'The recipe " and feeding fish emulsion : )

Columbia Station, OH(Zone 5a)

thanks for the info Kim....maybe we can compare notes in a month or so...(if I have any luck)...I'm not the world's greatest with seeds..but sometimes they grow for me.

Well this will be the 3rd year with brugs for for me this summer!I have killed all of the sang seeds before : ( First time i put them on a heat mat..they rotted next time i dunno what happened lol. This time not to bad! So give it a go : )

Hamilton, OH

Thanks Kim
I will get them soaking tonight, I don't have a heatmat, my Brugs, are big enough, I just take clippings, when I
have to bring them in to the basement for winter
it looks like this time you're doing really well with the sang.

I don't think you need to put your sang seeds on a heating mat. They don't like the heat that is why Kim your seeds didn't make it.That is why i can't grow them here is because of the heat. They like is cool.

Coushatta, LA

I live in zone 8b.That is why i can't grow them.

(Kim) Philadelphi, PA(Zone 6a)

Yes the first ones rotted on the mat..no mat the second time, guess the 3rd times a charm!.All this seed stuff is so new to me....so I lurk the forums learning. I have some other crosses growing too! I even put a seed in my AeroGarden it is just popping up!

Here are a couple for you to compare to.I believe your picture is of a sang. The leaves do vary a little between seedlings but all have that "wavy edged"leaf.

Thanks JT! I think that when it gets hot here I will grow them indoors. Then bring them back out in the fall..a fun experiment for me.

Milton, FL(Zone 8a)

I try a few every year, always looking for that one that may be heat tolerant.By July they are either gone or dead.Good luck with yours.

Cumberland, MD(Zone 6a)

They look very happy. The leaves look my Sang leaves. Mine are almost a year old & about 3 to 4 feet tall.

Linda

(Kim) Philadelphi, PA(Zone 6a)

I gonna try to keep them going JT! Hi Linda do you do anything special with yours?

Cumberland, MD(Zone 6a)

I kept them in pots under a tree so they only got am sun. They wilted & looked bad when it was really hot & this year I will bring them inside if that happens. I fertilized than along with all the others but they got a little less. I sprayed them with the recipe & they looked pretty good until it got hot. They are under lights now & kept at about 60 & I keep the leaves off all winter. I had 5 but I traded one.
