Some how I got my seedlings mixed up...... this is the only one that looks different to me.
Sanguinea seedling?
I can't grow it here, because it doesn't like the heat. It's looking good and good luck with it and keep us posted on its growing process.
Thanks Cody! I planted three seeds and some how mixed the sang with the other brug babies. We shall see what happens.
You are very welcome!!!Keep us posted.
Will do!
Thanks.
That's real neat looking...I just got some sang seeds...how long did it take for yours to get that big? It really looks healthy. I hope I can grow mine that nicely.
Helen
your plant, looks, so healthy, I hope my seeds germinate, how long did it take to grow that size?
Elizabeth
Thanks Helen and Elizabeth! I peeled and soaked the seeds overnight with a few drops of peroxide. They popped up in about a week. This seedling is about a months growth. I have been spraying 'The recipe " and feeding fish emulsion : )
thanks for the info Kim....maybe we can compare notes in a month or so...(if I have any luck)...I'm not the world's greatest with seeds..but sometimes they grow for me.
Helen
Thanks Kim
I did not know about the peroxide, I will try that, I have a few more seeds to start
Elizabeth
I just put some water in a cup and added a little peroxide..there is a thread on this forum about measures somewhere!.
Happy Gardening!
Kim
I have some hugh Brugs, that I have been growing for about 8yrs now, this is the first year I will be trying the
Sangs, I hope a month from now mine will be up & as nice as yours
Elizabeth
Well this will be the 3rd year with brugs for for me this summer!I have killed all of the sang seeds before : ( First time i put them on a heat mat..they rotted next time i dunno what happened lol. This time not to bad! So give it a go : )
Thanks Kim
I will get them soaking tonight, I don't have a heatmat, my Brugs, are big enough, I just take clippings, when I
have to bring them in to the basement for winter
it looks like this time you're doing really well with the sang.
Elizabeth
I don't think you need to put your sang seeds on a heating mat. They don't like the heat that is why Kim your seeds didn't make it.That is why i can't grow them here is because of the heat. They like is cool.
I live in zone 8b.That is why i can't grow them.
You go girl, and good luck with every thing.
Thanks JT! I think that when it gets hot here I will grow them indoors. Then bring them back out in the fall..a fun experiment for me.
I try a few every year, always looking for that one that may be heat tolerant.By July they are either gone or dead.Good luck with yours.
They look very happy. The leaves look my Sang leaves. Mine are almost a year old & about 3 to 4 feet tall.
Linda
I gonna try to keep them going JT! Hi Linda do you do anything special with yours?
I kept them in pots under a tree so they only got am sun. They wilted & looked bad when it was really hot & this year I will bring them inside if that happens. I fertilized than along with all the others but they got a little less. I sprayed them with the recipe & they looked pretty good until it got hot. They are under lights now & kept at about 60 & I keep the leaves off all winter. I had 5 but I traded one.
Linda
Ok Linda thanks!
