What is your weather doing today?

Grantsboro, NC(Zone 8b)

Ours here at the coast is rainy and 42 and expecting a light dusting of snow.

(((hugs))))

42 here also, chance for flurries tonight. Gonna get cold tomorrow night - 19F again. Then it looks to warm up (finally).

Jacksonville, FL(Zone 9a)

52 here, warm and sunny right now but the temp will drop sharply to the mid 20's tonight and tomorrow night. At least the recent cold temps have put most plants into dormancy.

Summerville, SC(Zone 8a)

Sigh .. Sunny, windy, high's in the low 40's and lows in the mid to upper 20's for the next three days. Still waiting on the warmer than normal winter the weather service predicted.

Did you hear about the snow storms in Europe? it's really making a mess across the pond! We aren't the only ones being inundated with snow and dropping temperatures!

Snow brings deaths and travel chaos to Europe

I hear we may get some rain mixed with snow tonight.?/ Any one else hear the S word?

Jacksonville, FL(Zone 9a)

I recently heard that NOAA said we really did have a warmer than normal January. It seems those hot, hot days early in the month skewed the statistics.

Summerville, SC(Zone 8a)

I heard about the snow too .. waiting for the weather guy to say when.

Man they really botched the forecast last night. Called for 29F when I went to bed and it was 17F outside this morning... WTH? Guess I should have covered last night after all. Few flurries around this morning too.

Georgetown, SC(Zone 8a)

We had snow late this morning. It lasted for at least 60 seconds! ;D

Summerville, SC(Zone 8a)

I wouldn't have called that snow .. flurries actually .. at least where I was on west north 9th and main street and the lowes parking lot.

Kannapolis, NC

Here in Kannapolis we had about 3 inches when we woke up, but the roads were very icy and didn't start melting off until around 10. Most of the snow is history now. Came quick and left even quicker!

Lexington, SC(Zone 8a)

Is this even the same MONTH as the last three days? I woke up and the GH said 106F, aaahh - had to run outside and it was so warm. I live for this kind of spring weather.

Kannapolis, NC

Yep. Right now it is 73* and I so want to be outside gardening, but I know it's much too soon. However, if it's the same tomorrow, you can bet I'll be out pruning my roses and some other shrubs. Gotta get my hands dirty ^_^

Lexington, SC(Zone 8a)

I started cleaning up the yard today and marking plant spots with little flags. If it stays warm through March again, I'm going to be sooo tempted to start planting. Must be patient and wait until April.

Georgetown, SC(Zone 8a)

All I can say is it that warm sun felt so good today. Wouldn't it be nice if this would last?

Grantsboro, NC(Zone 8b)

Its 68 out side here right now. Wow
Wish it would last.

72F here today. Even though the plants can't go out yet - I do, I like to sit in the sun on days like this. I can feel spring fever already setting in.

Kannapolis, NC

Another killer day, both weatherwise and yard work wise. Pruned all my roses, pruned my little JM and the pussy willow, cut back the viburnums which were horribly overgrown (maybe no blooms this year), pulled up a lot of malvas that had self-seeded all over the place last year, pruned my Kerria back and sowed tomato seeds indoors: Black Krim, Cherokee Purple, German Pink and Early Girl. I'm a little bummed that I didn't get the compost turned or some cukes sown indoors. Also wanted to plant some onions and lettuce outdoors, but no dice. My energy ran out before I ran out of daylight, so here I sit on DG. But, oh, how wonderful to be outdoors!
