Do olders daff bulbs peek out sooner?

East Texas, United States(Zone 8a)

I planted Thalia daffs two years ago that are about 6-8" tall right now. The Thalias that I planting last Oct are just beginning to peek out. Is that the norm? Do older bulbs start growing sooner?

Lawrenceville, GA(Zone 7a)

yes

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

Ditto for me.

Winchester, KY(Zone 6a)

Same for me Nery. They typically bloom a couple of weeks later the first year for me, and even later if I plant the bulbs late.

wait a minute. I'm confused. You mean the "older" bulbs start peeking out earlier than the "new" bulbs but the old bloom later?

The most recently planted bulbs bloom later for me. Seems the later the bulbs go in the ground the later they bloom, but they all catch up in following years.
