I have several Epi's and since I retired 12/31/08, I am having more time to play with them in the greenhouse. I have Epi Equator and it never bloomed & just seemed to sit still, until I repotted it last year & It is growing like a weed. I have Crypt antonyanus & it has filled up a monstrous pot but no flowers. Is this because it needs repotted or is rootbound or needs fertilizer (what type & what strength) or all three? Would love to have some help on this. A friend of mine in Czechoslovakia sent me a leaf many years ago (it was an epi with some hairs), and it grew a little, then just sat there and it had scale on it. Last year, I took a toothbrush, cleaned off all the scale and repotted it & it is growing like a weed. I am assuming the epi's like a rich organic potting soil. I just need a little "tuning" around the edges to get them all in this condition & get them to bloom. Any info you can throw my way would be greatly appreciated. (Greenhouse grower in Pennsylvania)
