Weston Gardens in Fort Worth is having a rose sale and informational "classes" on Feb. 7-8. Then on Feb. 21-22, they're having their container garden weekend. Here's the info from their newsletter.
"On February 7th and 8th, you are invited to take advantage of a Valentine special on our beautiful "old garden", time-tested roses. If you buy three roses, you will get one rose free.
If you have dirt and sun, you can grow the roses that we sell. We have selected the varieties that flourish in our North Texas climate and soil. We have one of the largest selections of acclimated roses for our area. If you can't choose a rose from our selection that will thrive, then you should surrender your license to grow anything!
We will have very informative rose talks each day.
**Pioneer Roses - Learn about this series of roses introduced by Mike Shoup of The Antique Rose Emporium. Hardy, durable and beautiful. Climbers and shrubs. Saturday, Feb. 7 @ 1 pm. Repeat Sunday, Feb. 8 @1 pm.
**Knockout Roses and Meidilands - We'll explore the well publicized, everblooming Knockout series, including several that you have never heard of. The Meidilands are not as well known, but just as hardy and just as tough as the Knockouts. Saturday, Feb. 7 @ 3 pm. Repeat Sunday, Feb. 8 @ 3 pm
Drawings for free door prizes at each talk!!!"
