I'm sooo tired and done with all this cold,wet,snow, winter stuff...

I just ordered from some co-ops Dori had and the one Connie is
starting on Monday....with the glads and lily's....
I'm off to walmarts to get some sweat pants so I can get to the gym
and start feeling better!! Where in Auburn Hills are you??

I have been a member for a long time, just dont have time to sit and post most days, but I love Daves I have meet so many people over the years,, I like near the old Silverdome, I used to work in Mt Clemens, I have a ton of friend on that side of town. My sister lives in Chesterfield.. gardening is my passion,, I was just at walmart last night they are starting to get the garden center filled up,, hate beeing stuck in the house.. nice to meet you my name is Cheryle.. yes Dori is way cool !!

So were did you work in Mt. Clemens? I worked there to On N. Walnut at studio 58 doing nails....and my sister also lives in Chesterfield off the river on Sutton Rd between Sugarbush/Callens and Jefferson. I love gardening as well....I'll have to stay away from that section when I go to walmart today ughhh I have to discipline myself...I was just telling my sistah gardening friend that we have to discipline ourselves this year...(yeah right)
from all the greenhouses near and far...we are so addicted!!! I'm constantly moving this and getting rid of that to make room for new stuff...I have to be really good this year because of our finances and this economy...hubby is self employed and it's so slowww right now for everyone. We live off of 25 mile rd between Hayes and Romeo Plank...

I love to garden,, speaking of that I have a box under my desk that I need to get planted come spring of bulbs I purchased. I ran out of time this fall it went from summer to winter and I ran out of time. I also have the ones I over winter there to as keeping them here each winter has worked so far...
I worked at Huntington on Walnut and Cass, I am still with Huntington I moved from Investment area to Business Banking in West Bloomfield a lot closer to home. I know how that goes watching pennies,, I am a coupon queen. I just order the hosta liners from the co-op hee hee now to figure where to put them all !! lol You were right by me down there how funny is that !! I go to 3D nails off of Garfield and Canal. I miss the Clem feel most days I dont miss the nutty people, the drive or the parking.
When I was stressed out more I would stop at English Garden on Hall and just take it all in !! I love that place, Bordines is anthor favorite place of mine, and mom and pops plant places,, looking for unusal stuff..
I did not make it there last year to much going on here.. I have been in the past tons of fun !! Arts & Apples in Rochester is cool to not like that but still cool.
Now is the time of year I am stocking up on seeds and creating my lists, doing seed and plant orders. I save a ton of seeds from year to year, but I hit the jack put a few weeks ao I was at the Salvation Army on Auburn Rd in Rochester Hills and they had a huge basket of flower/herb/veggie seeds for like 15-29 cents each, as first I was picking the ones I liked but then I purchased them all !! $109 later,, so needless to say I have been making lists of what I have and then I can better make my orders. Some of the seeds are a few years old, but I figured for that price cant bet it.
as I sit here with my cat and looking out the window it just makes want to go some place warm..........

If you are south of 25 Mile and closer to Romeo Plank, you might live on the farm that I worked on from age 13 to 23. I don't recall how many acres Altermatts had. Lots of memories there.
Altermatts is across the street on the south side...One of the Altermatt girls lives on my street she had twin girls a year ago...they have a beautiful greenhouse and vegetable stand....their business is right on the S.W. corner of 25 mile and garfield/romeo plank...I'm guessing maybe our land here was Altermatts? I never asked our builder...however, there is an "Altermatt subdivision" right across the street. Also are you related to the Brohls on 26 mile the greenhouse there? And then you must remember Diegal farms?? and they have a greenhouse as well on 25 mile just west of Hayes and a subdivision named after them too.
As far as I know, all the Altermatt land was on the south side of 25. I'm a few years older than the Altermatt kids, but spent my spring, summer, and falls growing up with them. I still see them a couple times a year at greenhouse functions and weddings and such. The Brohl greenhouse on 25 mile is my in-laws, I lived there until 2002 when we moved to Almont and built our own greenhouse. I'm terrible with names but my DH knows everyone in the greenhouse business.

I'll have to come up your way in the spring and meet you and your greenhouse lol...I've gotten my begonia's from your in-laws a few times now,
and some other stuff too. I have friends in Almont and my sister lives in Imlay City...I sure will be glad when spring starts happening around here as I'm not a winter fan at all!!! I'd rather be out digging in the dirt anytime...I bought some new things from Dori's co-ops or should I say "new variety's" of things I already have...gosh I can't wait to get them and plant them up! I'm glad the sun is out today YAY!!!! ughhh I need to get out of this house today...well I need to get my son up to do his homework...or crack the whip I should also say LOL...I soooo wish HE was SELF motivated to get things done, like my other one...just not the case this time around :(....

glad to be back, its just hard with life beeing so busy to be on pc all the time,, and I sit in front of one all day !! my a$$ is big enough...lol so I have been trying each sat am to check post and email,, and when spring hits well not sure what will happen then,, work is good well they are making cuts not sure if the axe man will find me this time or not.. I am paying for my co op tuesday & my hosta book I order and renewing my dues here at daves just in case I do loose my job I have this.. and paying everything ahead like 6-8 months, and if I am ok then I will have extra funds to do other things,, I might be buying a house one over from here ( my parents) but with work crap dont know yet !! I have all my seed orders on hold right now.. most part I am on ok on seeds but I do need herbs and lettuce stuff.. so I have my two nieces this weekend so the cartoon are playing now ...lol

I'm well aware of the big (__!__) ....I looked in the mirror yesterday and almost passed out....weight watchers here I come.....I ususally gain 10 or so lbs in the winter do to little activity then lose it again once spring gets here and I'm outside....however I'm thinking the gym wouldn't be a bad thing at this point. enough of that....well I think it's rather smart paying ahead for things with the axe man lurking in the shadows...my heart really goes out to everyone who's lost there jobs. Well looks like that white stuff will just not leave us alone...I'm thankful it's not as much as it could be though...Well I need to get off of here and get ready to go out...have to dispense my valentines to my nieces and nephews, and go to dinner with my husband and kids, we'll try and get there by 4pm so we'll be good and not have to wait in long lines...ughhhh nothing like waiting when your starving LOL...

yes the white stuff returned today !! grrr just when I was starting to love the mud !!! lol have fun today,, I picked up my nieces yesterday so my sister can spring clean thier room and give thier old toys to the Salvation Army,, becuase if they were there all he!! would brake loose !! the broken toy trama !! not doing that again,, and our friend Becky is going to be with my sis so her soon to be x does not show up drunk on her door step again and cause all kinds of trouble !! so my cats are hidding today ,, not use to the patter of loud little feet !! lol so they picked out dinner Taco Bell it is !! or pizza rolls ,, easy easy for us !!! have fun today with you family...
