Hi folks - not sure if you remember me but I was posting here for a while probably a year ago or so. I would like to be more involved in this forum......I hope you have room for me.
I am finding this winter really long....I am starting to get the gardening itch even though I still have a few more months to go. I am really looking forward to spring!
Hello fellow Canadians
Welcome Dawn. We can ALWAYS make room for another. That's a pretty Clematis.
Ann
Thank you Ann!
Oh I remember you, Dawn, the one with Clematis-itis. lol Spring is coming - it won't be long now!
Sandy
Yes that would probably be me however I am not sure about the clematis-itis but that was a good one...you have me laughing here! I do love them though. It is so funny I have such a tiny yard but I must have at least 10-12 different clematis....
I do love other plants as well though - don't get me wrong. I just need dh to buy me a new home with a much bigger yard next time! Then I would be planting more DL's and things.
Gosh, that's a pretty garden, Dawn! The Clematis act like a background plant or shrub and you use them to perfection. It wouldn't be half as interesting without the Clematis. Kudos.
Sandy
Wow! You obviously have the touch or optimum conditions or both for good Clematis blooms.
OH Dawn..how lovely..such colour..and lots of blooms on your clematis. Do you fertilize them?
Thank you everyone.....
Starzz I normally just fertilize once in spring with rose food and then I use a lot of composted cow manure around the base of each clematis...that is it.....the rest just does itself.....
Thanks Dawn..
Hi Dawn. Looking forward to seeing more clematis pics in 09.
Hi Dawn,
Timber Press has a great clematis book on sale at the mo. Worth looking at if you don't already own it.
inanda
Thanks a bunch inanda....I will have to look into that for sure.
Welcome back Dawn!
Always room for one more here.
Lovely blooms on your Clematis too!
Ann (the Edmonton one)
Welcome back Dawn..so love the photo's of your gardens...I'm sure they are still there well under the blanket of white...
Yes I believe they are under like 3 feet of snow if not more....we got so much snow this year - unbelievable! I really can't wait for spring....
