As usual I get myself into trouble "window shopping" on Tops http://www.toptropicals.com/cgi-bin/store/store.cgi?group=deal
How great would it me to have your very own cinnamon tree??? Anyone with suggestions as to who else might carry the plant???
Cinnamomum aromaticum ?? where to purchase plant??
Chantell, are we still looking for this one, or did we decide it was too "tricksy" to grow?
LOL...I'm thinking if it doesn't give off that much of a scent w/o help that it's not so "needed" any more. LOL
I'd grow it anyway, for the bark, but I'm trusting that report that said this one seemed prone to "issues" at the nursery. But if I order seeds from Tradewinds sometime, I'll include it! :-)
I grow my own; use the leaf in Indian veggie cooking (Krishna prasadam). The specific species can be a bit tricky to id.
Mine is now 8 ft & in the ground.
I have a friend that has one in a large pot and it flowers but so far no viable seeds.
