i went today to the petstore to get crickets for my geckos and look what followed me home,lol. she was all alone and i couldn't help it but i also needed a female for one of my adults. she makes my 9th rabbit to spoil and love.
i got a new bunny today!!!
she is 8 weeks old. a rex doe, castor colored. we lost our black rex due to old age so she is our replacement for a futer breeder for our rex buck buddy.
She is beautiful, silkiechick. I love that color--I've never head of "castor" before. I just lost my old doe and her younger buck is very lonely. Do they always get along when you introduce a new one?
i haven't named her yet, any ideas?? i'm excited to see someday their futer babies buddy is a white with brown broken back spots i think that's what it is called. the kid's will be showing them this summer and next year them and some of their babies so they r really excited and looking forward to it. i also have a dutch, holland lops and an angora so we will be showing some of them this year also.

she is inside till spring to cold here. if i'm going to add a new one i rotate pens and clean them good so they r not dominant to the cages. hope that makes sence.
Very pretty. How old is she?
8 weeks old. her fur is so pretty it is like brown wild looking then has red to it and underside is blue. the color of her is amazeing. she kept squinting from the flash to bright,lol. i'll try to get some better pics of her tomarrow.

Silkie: Watch out for CajuninKy, She only asked her age because she wants to know if she is old enough to butcher. Look on Harms thread when she introduced Jellybean. When Cajun see' bunnies she thinks stew. I think Jellybean is just now getting over it. LOL She looks so cute and content laying in your arms. Have fun.

lol, my son is holding her i was takeing pic. nope rabbits don't get eaten here they r all pets. no worries she will never be that nasty word cuz she is mommies little girl so i'll protect my baby as i do all of them, smiles.

Fires have shades of red and blue that meld together. She has those hues and she is small so you could call her "Ember" as in a small piece of fire.

u'd love to go shopping with me, never know what i'm gonna come home with,lol. i went yesterday and came home with all kinds of stuff the biggest was a new razor bike for my oldest sons birthday comeing up on the 24th he will be 13. i also got him a kool hoodie, and 2 shirts. the hoodie has metalic celtic knot work on it, one shirt has a pheonix bird and the other has a japanese samari on it so he will be excited. i'm not sure what else to get him yet but it's a start,lol.
i got me a kool scrapbook kit with about 3,000 pieces of supplies in it and has glitter butterflies on the album. i can't wait to get started on it! bought other stuff too but i can't remember what all there was now.

Silkie!!! I have been shopping with you.. Shopping for a name and I finally come up with a good one. I studdied her Pic's for the longest time and come up with the name.... Are you ready for this...Pewter. AHhhhh comeon it fits. YOU ROCK.

ok, we all been talking about the names, some of those we have pets named already,lol. but everyones favorite was ember so that is her new name and my youngest 2 can say it,lol. thank u all so much for helping us name our new baby!!!
as for size she looks alot bigger in the pics she is actually pretty small, she is not much bigger than my hand mabe 2-3 in longer. so from nose to bum she is mabe 6-7" long.
Now that we know her name, we need more pics of course. LOL
