"We have a few new members here in the Northeast forum and it would be nice to let them know our real names to go w/our DG names. You don't have to post if you feel uncomfortable doing so."
(copied from Pixie's thread)
Thought it was time to start a new thread especially after my computer made the last one twice as long!! Eleanor

Hi Eleanor!!!!!!! So nice to see you post!
I'm pixie or if you prefer Celeste, welcome to all our newbies!

welcome
You guys are all very gracious not to throw your computers at me or to give me the one-finger salute!! LOL I've had several calls today from friends in New England, and with the horrid weather, I didn't know what to say when they asked how it is down here. Gulp. You just don't have the heart, you know.
Hank came back from his golf league and I asked him how he played. He started telling me he had his worse round of the year, but then he said, "What am I complaining about??? It was gorgeous and we could be up in NH!" LOL That put it in perspective for sure!
Stay warm, everyone and watch that ice!!
Louise (currently in Fla.)
So, Louise, how do you know we aren't giving you the one finger salute? You can't see us! LOL! We are all jealous of your great Florida winter weather.
To all the newbies, I'm Karen, though everyone knows it, as I always sign my name, pretty much.
Karen
I guess a bad day of golf in FL is better!!
the wind is kicking up over here... boy o boy is that wood stove great
Yes, it sure is nice to have a toasty fire going in the wood stove when the wind is howling outside.
Karen
Nothing like a cozy wood stove on a cold night! I'm actually wanting another cold night so we can have a fire in the fireplace. LOL Somehow, it would seem a bit wierd to get it roaring here with the a/c going, wouldn't it?
LOL! It certainly would!
Karen
careful what you wish for!
