Just south of you, we have about two inches of ice and now it's snowing like crazy. State of emergency here and in Louisville, Kentucky. Power out to 51,000 people in my county, and over 75,000 people in Louisville and the numbers are climbing.
Good day to stay inside!!

Greensburg, IN(Zone 6a)

You guys take care, we now have a total of 15" and a little icing on the cake with ice, I don't plan on doing anything but play on computer, after the highway plowed the road I could not get out if I wanted too.
All of you in the bad weather area be very careful if you have to get out, PLEASE don't go out just to sight see'

That's is such good advice -- don't go out and sight see because a branch with ice could easily snap and hit your car!
We did do some sight seeing yesterday and it just suddenly dawned on me just how stupid I was being! Am finally back at work today, but getting in was very, very scary because the bridge to Louisville was a complete sheet of ice!

I hope that you're staying warm and dry and enjoying your play time on the computer!!

I used to live out in the country near New Richmond, east of Cincinnati. Going up that hill was impossible unless a snow plow and salt truck had been through. So unless it was a life threating situation, I stayed put. Take care everyone and stay warm.

I know where you're talking about, I used to go there with DH to fish at the ohio river, it would be hard to get out
there, I am glad for you that you live where you do now, I am sure it's a lot warmer, this time of year is really that
we have really bad weather, January & Feb. are our worse months, my tropical garden looks like a winter wonderland
right now, but get this Sunday it's suppose to be 40 degress, gotta love it

Elizabeth, I remember cabin fever was pretty bad by February, but I really loved it and hated to leave. We returned to the San Francisco Bay Area after leaving New Richmond. Now that was a nearly ideal climate. Enough chill hours to grow almost any fruit I desired, but few if any freezing weather. My DH's male menopause came in the form of wanting a ranch in Texas. That's how I ended up where I am. LOL.

how's your weather there now, has the cold front hit your area, I have all my plants in my basement under lights
I did get out today & shoveled snow again today, I am going to take Pic's of the 5ft high pile of snow, it's pretty
to look at if you don't have to go out in it. I hope everyone is staying safe& warm

Elizabeth,
We've had freezing temperatures at night since Monday, but the lowest has been 27ºF. The wind, however, has been fierce. Day time temperatures have been in the 50s. On Monday when the front arrived, the temperature dropped almost 20 degrees in minutes. It was unbelievable!

That has too be cold for you, did you get all your plants, covered, how long does it last?
I hope you didn't loose anything, it snowed again last night, my GD'S school has been
cancelled for the last 3 days, they hardly ever do that, I hope you have a warm up
soon

You all take care, and don't take chacnces, it is too dangerouse
